As the booking window to World Cup matches gets closer, it is important to note that YOY percent changes in booking pace are expected to decrease compared to previously reported figures. However, when looking at booking growth over time, rooms booked has grown by 14% in June and 5% in July, compared to one month prior.

• Booking pace (rooms currently committed) for the Houston market as a whole is ahead compared to the same period last year, with June up 4.6% and July up about 6.2%.
• Downtown: The Downtown submarket is up 26% in June and 54% in July.
• Uptown/Greenway Plaza: The Uptown/Greenway Plaza submarket is down 3.4% in June and up 2.8% in July.
• Medical Center/NRG: The Medical Center/NRG submarket is down 34% in June and 5% in July.
