The holidays are often called a "season of giving." Houston First employees took that to heart. To brighten the lives of families during Christmas, HFC took part in a program called Candlelighters. Through the program, employees helped lift the spirits of seven families who are coping with a child’s recent cancer diagnosis or death from the disease by donating gifts that can be enjoyed for the entire year. More than 30 family members were given gifts for the holidays. One HFC employee said, "This is what life is all about, helping others."
