Houston luxury hotels are earning national recognition and accolades as they elevate the guest experience, offer unique amenities and provide first-class design.
Here’s a roundup of the latest accolades Houston properties have received.
AAA Five-Diamond Award
The AAA Five-Diamond designation is awarded to luxury properties that offer world-class design, elevated amenities and “indulgence for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
This year, The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston was the only property in the city to receive this prestigious status.
According to AAA, the hotel exemplified “leading edge design in building design, structure, guest rooms and bathrooms offering extraordinary comfort. Additionally, luxurious and upscale furniture adorned with a variety of first class original and limited-edition artwork further enhanced the experience.”
Cvent’s Top 250 Meeting Hotels in North America
Three Houston hotels earned a spot on Cvent’s Top 250 Meeting Hotels in North America list. Hilton-Americas Houston, Hyatt Regency Houston Downtown, and the Marriott Marquis Houston were among those recognized by the hospitality technology provider. This list has become a valuable source for event panners.
“This recognition shines through our prime downtown location as the largest hotel in the city, complemented by exceptional, versatile ballrooms and meeting spaces, all delivered with the utmost excellence by our dedicated team,” shared Hilton-Americas Houston on a social media post.
Esquire’s The Best New Hotels in the World 2025
Esquire’s editorial team traveled around the world to identify the Best New Hotels of 2025, creating a list to recommend to travelers. Making the list was Hotel Saint Augustine home to Perseid, a restaurant helmed by Aaron Bludorn. The property also features 71 hotel rooms and suites, a heated pool and is within walking distance of the Menil Collection.
Located in Montrose, “the property takes inspiration from the spirit of the museum collection and of Houston itself—a duality of old world and new, a rich diversity and a forward-thinking sensibility.”
Forbes Travel Guide Star Award Winners
Forbes Travel Guide, an independent global rating system for luxury hotels, spas, restaurants, and more, recently revealed its 2025 Star Awards. This year’s list features seven Houston properties, with The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston earning a distinguished Five-Star rating. The Houstonian Hotel Club & Spa, Four Seasons Hotel Houston, Hotel Granduca Houston, and The St. Regis Houston were also recognized with Four-Star ratings.
TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best
Every year, based on reviews and rating collected over 12 months, TripAdvisor recognizes hotels, destinations, restaurants and more in their Best of the Best awards. This year, The Post Oak Hotel was named among Tripadvisor's best luxury properties in the nation.
“Fewer than 1% of TripAdvisor’s 8 million listings receive this prestigious recognition, and The Post Oak Hotel was ranked No. 15 in the United States,” according to a press release by The Post Oak Hotel.
Looking forward, Houston’s hospitality scene is likely to continue making headlines as local hotels, both existing and new, generate more accolades.
