Hotel restaurants are no longer just an amenity for overnight guests; they are becoming destinations in themselves.

According to an article by Travel and Tour World, travelers are planning entire trips around hotel dining experiences.

“Hotel restaurants are no longer hidden spaces inside buildings,” according to the article.“They are now front and cent[er] in global travel planning, shaping how people explore and experience the world.”

This trend is reflected in Houston as well. The city has many hotel restaurants attracting both locals and visitors alike through curated menus and dining experiences.

Here’s a roundup of a few of those hotspots.

Chardon at Thompson Hotel

Bringing the soul of Paris to Houston, Chardon is located within the Thompson Hotel on Allen Parkway. With a menu that blends French tradition and Texas-sourced ingredients, Chef EJ Miller leads the team at Chardon.

According to the restaurant’s website, “at Chardon, quiet luxury isn’t something you see—it’s something you feel. It lives in the warmth of the room, the authenticity of our hospitality, and the exceptional quality of every ingredient we select.”

dLeña at The Greenleigh River Oaks

Opening in summer 2026, dLeña by Chef Richard Sandoval promises to celebrate “the primal artistry of open-fire cooking and the depth of Mexico’s regional cuisine.”

Located on the ground floor of the new Greenleigh, dLeña is Mexican-inspired and will offer an elevated, immersive dining experience. It's already garnering attention from foodies eager to experience the reinvented space when it debuts.

Hypsi at Hotel Daphne

Hypsi, a full-service Italian restaurant and lounge from James Beard-nominated Chef Terrence Gallivan, brings a modern take on Italian-style aperitivo with Gulf Coast ingredients to Hotel Daphne. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Hypsi’s menu includes Duroc Pork Milanese, Cavatappi and more.

“We wanted to create an urban oasis where neighbors and out-of-towners alike have a place to hang out or spend the night in a chic, yet comfortable environment – with great spaces to gather, rotating artwork from our family’s private collection, and Hypsi at the heart of it all,” Ben Ackerly, one of the development parters on the project said.

Hotel Daphne Houston is among the best new hotels in the world, according to Esquire Magazine.

Spindletop at Hyatt Regency Houston Downtown

Known as one of Houston’s most iconic restaurants, Spindletop, is scheduled to reopen in May. The rotating restaurant is located on the 31st floor of the Hyatt Regency Houston Downtown and will be under the direction of Executive Chef Hernan Melendez.

Offerings will include a weekly four‑course prix fixe tasting menu and its signature 360‑degree rotating views of Houston.

The Perch at JW Marriott Houston Downtown

Set to open this year, The Perch will be located next to the JW Marriott Houston Downtown’s new rooftop pool with skyline views. Led by Chef Rafael Gonzalez, The Perch will feature thoughtfully prepared plates rooted in local flavors, as well as botanical-forward cocktails.

“The addition of the rooftop pool and restaurant not only provides a high-end amenity and attraction for our guests, but also becomes a chic destination for locals,” Director of Sales & Marketing Misty King said in a press release.

Tribute at Houstonian Hotel

Located on the main level of The Houstonian Hotel, Tribute is considered a premier Houston restaurant. Led by Executive Chef Gonzalo Campos, Tribute creates authentic dishes inspired by Texas, Louisiana, and Mexico, and serves as a tribute to those who have taught the Tribute team about Southeast Texas cooking.
