From an overview of the economic forces affecting tourism in the U.S. to a deep dive on the impact of major sporting events on the state’s destinations, the Texas Travel Summit being held in Houston this year will offer a dynamic agenda for destination industry professionals.
Produced by the Texas Travel Alliance (TTA), the annual summit is designed to provide expert insights, new tools and networking opportunities for the state’s dozens of destination marketing organizations. This year’s event will be held October 14-16 at the Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria.
"The Texas Travel Alliance is the voice of the travel and tourism industry in Texas and dedicated to advocating for policies that foster growth in our industry,” said Jorge Franz, Senior Vice President of Tourism and Industry Relations at Houston First and the 2024 Chair of TTA. “Hosting the event here in Houston provides an opportunity for our local destination partners who might otherwise not be able to travel elsewhere to attend the conference. I’m encouraging all of my colleagues to register for this signature industry event.”
The three-day event includes sessions such as: a look at what’s affecting the convention and meetings segment of the industry in Texas, new tools in marketing measurement, and how advances in AI are assisting the travel market. The final session on Wednesday will feature a panel of national travel CEOs moderated by Houston First President and CEO Michael Heckman.
Organizations and individuals in the destination marketing and hospitality sector in Texas are encouraged to attend this event. Additionally, Houston area partners are able to take advantage of a special discount for local professionals that provides the member rate for new registrants.
