'Tis the season for Houston Restaurant Weeks and it seems a growing number of local eateries are getting in on the action for a great cause.
Hundreds of restaurants are on this year’s list, serving a mix of special brunch, lunch and dinner menus with a portion of the proceeds going to the Houston Food Bank. Most of the multicourse menus are at the $25 or $39 price point with a few higher-end establishments offering $55 menus. The restaurants on the list run the gamut from longstanding local institutions like Hugo’s and Ouisie’s Table to newer hotspots like Hamsa and Marmo.
Over the last 20 years, Houston Restaurant Weeks has raised more than $18 million for the Houston Food Bank to help provide millions of meals for Houstonians in need.
Houston Restaurant Weeks kicks off August 1 and runs for five weeks through Labor Day, September 4.
