As the fourth-largest city in the country, Houston is a cosmopolitan destination, filled with a variety of boutique and luxury hotels. Recently, Travel + Leisure shared results from their World’s Best Awards 2024 which included Readers’ 15 Favorite City Hotels in Texas, including the top 5 properties in Houston.

Topping the Houston list was the Lancaster Hotel, which received a 97.64 reader score. Readers shared that the staff was among the best and that the rooms were impeccable, filled with beautiful, classic details.

Hotel Zaza Houston Museum District, The Moran Citycentre, The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston and the Four Seasons Hotel Houston also made this year’s list.

Every year, T + L puts out their World’s Best Awards survey in which they ask readers to “weigh in on travel experiences around the globe — to share their opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more.”

This year, more than 700,000 readers voted on over 8,700 properties. Hotels were rated on rooms/facilities, location, service, food and value.
