Houston First’s Convention Sales team works to secure meetings and conventions that benefit the hospitality community. Whether it’s a major citywide event at the George R. Brown Convention Center or a small conference at one of the city’s hotels, the team delivers on Houston’s promise to provide the best experience. Learn more and contact the Sales team here

In addition to the George R. Brown Convention Center and its two adjacent hotels, the Marriott Marquis and Hilton Americas Houston, the city also offers the state-of-the-art facilities of NRG Park, including NRG Center. These venues combine to make Houston a leading destination for conventions, meetings and tradeshows. In 2022, the city hosted 417 events with more than 751,500 attendees, up from just 156 events with more than 342,500 attendees in 2021. 

On the Tourism front, Houston First helps create opportunities for leisure travelers to the region by working with tour operators and wholesalers as well as hospitality partners. The Experience Houston Marketplace allows travelers to develop customized itineraries based on their interests. The Tourism team also collaborates with other destination management organizations in the region through the Around Houston partnership. In 2022, more than 49 million people traveled to Houston, including overnight and day-trip visitors.
