Parking Manager Serves as Guide and Presenter for TPTA Tour

Houston • April 11, 2018

The Texas Parking & Transportation Association (TPTA) was in town March 26-29, 2018 for their annual conference and tradeshow. The association is comprised of other cities, hospitals, universities, airports and other parking authorities across the State. The conference gathers them all to discuss the latest trends in parking service and technology.

Reginald Randolph, General Manager of Theater District Parking, conducted a tour for a group of 45 mostly non-Houston based conference attendees. They toured downtown districts with unique parking facilities: Midtown, North Warehouse, Theater District & Avenida. As part of the tour Reginald presented to the group information about the Theater District Parking Garage before Hurricane Harvey and the impact Harvey has had on the garage. Conference attendees from across the state of Texas were able to hear from another person in their industry details on the effects of a natural disaster. The presentation was considered a highlight of those that attended the tour.

In addition to conducting the tour, Reginald was one of seven nominees for the TPTA 2018 Distinguished Service Awards. The award “recognizes parking professionals who have contributed to the education, professional development, creative solutions, and standards of customer service in the parking and transportation industry.”
