The Mayor’s Hispanic Heritage Awards (MHHA) Committee seeks to recognize exemplary Hispanics who have made outstanding contributions toward improving the quality of life within the Houston Hispanic community.

The MHHA Committee reviewed nomination entries and selected the most outstanding nominees to receive the 2017 Mayor’s Hispanic Heritage Awards. Mayor Sylvester Turner and City Council also saluted the winners at Council sessions every Tuesday during Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15).
