Houston First Corporation helped make the Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance Business Conference and Matchmaking “Epic” by supporting their annual conference in the George R. Brown Convention Center on June 6, 2019. Our very own Carolyn Campbell, Director of Communications was the Mistress of Ceremonies for the Awards Luncheon where she introduced our President & CEO, Brenda Bazan, who spoke to attendees about our corporate commitment to diversity and inclusion and the importance of becoming a Houston Ambassador. Bazan challenged the audience to invite someone from out of town to plan a visit and experience our great city for themselves! April Day, WBEA President concluded the luncheon with a ribbon cutting ceremony and welcomed everyone to the business expo. Houston First was well represented at the expo and ready to speak with various vendors about business opportunities.
Headquartered in Houston, the Women's Business Enterprise Alliance serves over 94 counties in Texas with scholarship and mentoring programs, networking activities, and educational opportunities designed to spark growth and new business opportunities for members and their companies.
