Congressman discusses cybersecurity at Partnership Tower

Breakfast meeting is first public event held at HFC's new office building

U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul, chair of the House Homeland Security Committee, spoke on “Cybersecurity: Corporate Governance and Risk Management,” at a breakfast meeting hosted by the Greater Houston Partnership and held in Houston First's Partnership Tower.

The event was the first public event held in the new Partnership Tower, which is located at the north end of the Avenida Houston district between the George R. Brown Brown Convention Center and Minute Maid Park. Partnership Tower was opened on September 12.

McCaul gave an overview of the cybersecurity landscape, steps Congress is taking to address emerging threats and the importance of cybersecurity to the Houston business community. Houston First’s IT staff and other employees were in attendance
