Annette Goldberg Named HFC Employee of the Year

 Houston First awards top honor to customer service-oriented vice president   
 
Houston, TX – October 4, 2016 – Annette Goldberg, Houston First’s vice president of human resources, has been named the local-government corporation’s  Employee of the Year

Houston First CEO Dawn Ullrich made the announcement at the corporation’s Employee Service Awards ceremonies Friday at Wortham Theater Center.

“One of core principles at Houston First is to deliver unparalleled customer service,” Ullrich said, “and nobody does it better than Annette.

“She epitomizes first-class service, working with every employee individually in a timely manner, and represents the corporation in a classy and professional way – both internally and externally,” Ullrich added.  

“Human resource issues have grown infinitely more complex in recent years, but Annette manages to stay current with all the issues. She does whatever it takes to get the job done and is most deserving of this award.”  

Goldberg joined Houston First in 2008 after a long tenure with the City of Houston, spanning numerous divisions of municipal government. Previously, she worked for Houston Police Department and Harris County.

Goldberg, a lifelong resident of Houston, earned a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Houston International University and a masters in business administration from the University of St. Thomas.
