Two accessible restrooms required by the American Disabilities Act (ADA) need to be repaired after being damaged by the flood.
The elevator emergency phones must be repaired.
Water damage was sustained in the courtyard level entrance hallway.
Water entered the lower level which includes the Houston Symphony, Society for the Performing Arts and Houston First offices. Partial walls and carpeting will need to be removed and replaced.
The rehearsal room, which sustained the most damage, will need to have the floor, walls and mirrors replaced.
The building has been cleared for occupancy based on air quality and structural reports, but recovery work is not complete.
Painting, drywall and carpet installation will begin next week in the Houston Symphony, Society for the Performing Arts and Houston First offices.
Performances at Jones Hall have been cancelled or relocated elsewhere through at least the end of September.
As soon as the building meets all city code requirements, it will be reopened for events.
